Richard B. Newman Honored as Recipient of National Law Review Award

Richard B. Newman is honored to be named a 2019 National Law Review Go-To Thought Leader for his thought leadership focusing on FTC enforcement and regulation.

NLR is a leading source of legal analysis on emerging issues authored by recognized legal professionals. The National Law Review’s 2019 “Go-To Thought Leader Awards” spotlight 75 exceptional legal authors selected from a pool of over 100,000 news articles published in 2019. This is the second year the NLR editors formally recognized the talents of less than 1% of the publication’s 15,000 thought leaders in a wide array of legal practices –from Greentech to trade regulation, from cybersecurity to immigration law, from marijuana legalization to whistleblower protection.

Richard was recognized for his or his coverage of the Federal Trade Commission, including regulatory investigations (CIDs) and enforcement actions, Made in the USA compliance requirements, products containing cannabidiol (CBD) and related advertising, and UDAP analyses. The NLR stated that “[h]is writing demonstrates his expertise in breaking down newsworthy legal issues including the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA), Children’s Online Protection Act (COPPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and various state cybersecuirty laws.”
